KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) -- Some Kansas softball parents say their daughters are being treated unfairly after the State Activities Association made a decision on where the regional tournament will be held in May.

Those parents are calling out what they say is a double standard between baseball and softball. They've been told that the 6A softball regional will be held at Blue Valley Recreational Fields in Overland Park with championship games at Arrocha Ballpark at the University of Kansas.

Baseball, on the other hand, will have both regional and championship games at KU's Hoglund Ballpark.

Parents acknowledge that Blue Valley Rec is good enough for regular-season games, but they don't think it's a fair comparison to a collegiate field.
