Much drier air will move into New Mexico Thursday afternoon as a cold front sweeps across the state. This will bring freezing temperatures to parts of the state and cooler weather statewide.
Winds picked up across the western half of New Mexico Wednesday afternoon. It's been a drier day for most of the state as well, with a few isolated storms along I-25 in northern New Mexico. New storms developed tonight in northern New Mexico. These storms could bring severe weather, such as damaging winds and hail, heavy rainfall in north-central parts of the state through 2 AM.
Much drier air will filter into New Mexico from the west by Thursday afternoon. Dew points will fall back closer to average again for this time of year, after a record setting stretch of record high dew points in Albuquerque.
