A Stockport woman says she’s getting mushrooms growing in her garden and ducks visiting because of regular flooding that has been happening for more than a decade.

Lisa Conrad, 43, has lived on Ludlow Road for the last 15 years, and said the problem has been getting gradually worse.

The road is next to Woodbank Community Food Hub and an area for community gardening and growing, which is co-ordinated by the Kindling Trust.

Ms Conrad and her neighbour Beth Powell, 48, both think the issue is being caused by blocked drains in a community growing area by the fences of their properties, with water building up when it rains and running onto their land.
