Founded in 1903, Bronte Surf Life Saving Club is one of Australia’s oldest and most iconic surf clubs. For years, Bronte locals have been pushing for an upgrade to improve the deteriorating building and lifeguard facilities – and their wish has finally been answered. The current clubhouse is under construction, with works underway to create a new state-of-the-art facility slated for completion in April 2027.

The project, estimated to cost a whopping $24 million, is being delivered by Waverley Council in partnership with Bronte Surf Life Saving Club, backed by NSW and federal government funding.
