On Thursday at 1:20 a.m. the National Weather Service released a frost advisory valid from 10 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Clinton and Essex counties.

The weather service adds to prepare for, "Temperatures between 32 and 36 degrees will result in frost formation."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," comments the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
