High school students in dresses and suits took over the lower floor of the MASTERS Program Wednesday, strutting down a bright blue makeshift runway to the sounds of a cheering audience and Britney Spears.
The fashion show may have seemed out of place during an otherwise normal school day, but its aim was educational: to showcase and spread the word about the MASTERS Program's prom closet, a resource that this year is available to students at all Santa Fe high schools.
The closet, dubbed "The WEARhouse," provides free, gently used formal attire and accessories to those who may need it for school dances.
