Tamworth detectives join probe into Armidale suspicious death

DETECTIVES from Tamworth have joined the homicide investigation which is probing the suspicious death of an elderly man.

The local investigators joined New England detectives to comb the crime scene of the house in Markham Street in Armidale on Wednesday, October 15.

The officers are trying to find clues as to the suspicious death of the elderly man who lived at the location.

The body of the man, aged in his 70s, was found inside early on the morning of Monday, October 13 , with suspicious injuries to his upper body.

Strike Force Kastelic is made up of detectives from New England, the homicide squad, and now Tamworth, and investigators were seen videoing a walkthrough of the crime scene and examining items in the yard.
