Garrett Oates has joined the McCleskey Law Firm, bringing litigation experience and expanding the firm’s areas of family law, the firm announced this week.

Oates was born in Plainview but grew up in Iowa before he came back to Lubbock, graduating from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2018, according to a news release.

He practiced law at a small firm in Woodward, Oklahoma where he got varied experience.

“We’re thrilled to have Garrett join our firm. Besides his experience in litigation and existing areas of practice we offer, he’s expanding our offerings in family law,” said Jerry Kolander, McCleskey’s Managing Partner.
