ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police have arrested a suspect in connection with the 2021 shooting death of Kier Solomon , a transgender woman found fatally wounded in a vehicle at an apartment complex.
Police said in a news release that detectives obtained a warrant for 25-year-old Arthur Morris Jr., who is currently serving a seven-year prison sentence with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for an unrelated aggravated robbery conviction.
The case dates back to Sept. 30, 2021, when officers responded around 9:30 p.m. to a North Arlington apartment complex in the 1100 block of Stonetrail Road after a report of a person slumped over inside a running car. Officers discovered 21-year-old Solomon suffering from gunshot wounds. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.
