INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts practice squad offensive tackle Bayron Matos ’ whirlwind journey to the NFL began long before he was airlifted off the practice field in Miami during training camp with the Miami Dolphins in July.

Matos went down toward the end of the Dolphins first training camp practice July 23. Per the Miami Herald, Matos was tended to by medical officials for more than 10 minutes before being airlifted to a hospital.
