Empty Bowls Wichita fights hunger one bowl at a time with annual Chili Cookoff

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - An empty bowl might not mean much to some, but for one Wichita organization, it’s a powerful symbol of hope and community.

Empty Bowls Wichita uses handmade ceramic bowls to raise money to fight food insecurity across the city. The group will host its annual Chili Cook-Off this Saturday at Wichita State University’s Woolsey Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
