GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Drivers in southern Greenville County will need to find alternate routes starting next week as crews begin repairs on the East Georgia Road bridge.
The bridge closure will begin Oct. 20, and is expected to last through November, according to South Carolina Department of Transportation. The bridge is located in the southern part of Greenville County near Simpsonville.
Motorists will be detoured around the construction zone while crews complete the necessary repairs. The county has established these detour routes:
Northbound traffic on E Georgia Rd will turn right onto Bethany Rd, then right onto Lee Vaughn Rd, then right onto Woodruff Rd, arriving back to E Georgia Rd.
Southbound traffic will stay west on Woodruff Rd, then turn left onto Lee Va
