The case involving former Mangochi Central Member of Parliament, Victoria Kingston, who is accused of conspiring to murder the constituency’s MP-elect, Loza Fatch, is expected to go before the Mangochi First Grade Magistrate Court this afternoon.

Mangochi Police Station spokesperson, Amina Tepani Daudi, confirmed that Kingston was arrested on Wednesday and spent the night in police custody ahead of her court appearance.

Although court proceedings were initially scheduled for 9:00 AM, the session was postponed, leading to a large gathering of people who had arrived early at the courthouse to witness the high-profile case.

Police have not yet disclosed further details on the alleged plot, citing the sensitive nature of the investigation.
