Actor Shilpa Shetty on Thursday informed the Bombay High Court that she was withdrawing her application seeking permission to travel abroad, citing that her plans had not materialised. Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, are accused in a ₹60-crore cheating case lodged by a private complainant.
A bench of Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam Ankhad was hearing the plea when the actor’s counsel Niranjan Mundargi submitted that Shetty was no longer pressing the application.
“As and when she and her husband desire to travel in future, they will file a fresh application seeking permission from the court. She (Shetty) is not pressing the present application,” Mundargi told the bench.
