LANSING, MI -- Tammy Carvey doesn’t play the lottery often, so when she decided to play Powerball recently, she didn’t have a set of numbers she routinely plays. Rather than selecting the easy pick option, the 45-year-old Wyandotte resident turned to artificial intelligence for some help.

"I only play Powerball when the jackpot gets up there and the jackpot was over $1 billion so I bought a ticket,” Carvey said. “I asked ChatGPT for a set of Powerball numbers and those are the numbers I played on my ticket.”

The AI program knew something that millions of others didn’t, as Carvey ended up matching four of the five white numbers drawn and the Powerball -- 11-23-44-61-62 PB: 17 -- to win a significant prize.
