It's been nearly four decades since the world watched on as Jessica McClure Morales , a.k.a. "Baby Jessica," was miraculously rescued from a small Texas well.

On Oct. 14, 1987, the 18-month-old fell more than 20 feet into a well in her aunt’s backyard and remained trapped for over two days without food or water. People all around the country tuned in to live broadcasts as rescuers worked tirelessly around the clock before finally freeing Jessica from the narrow shaft.
