Dylan Sprouse showed wife Barbara Palvin a little extra support Thursday, as she prepared to walk the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show with a broken foot.
Palvin, 32, strutted the runway several times at the lingerie house's signature event, which returned for the second year in a row, after a hiatus beginning in 2018. Sprouse, of Disney Channel fame, was eager to be in the audience to support her, he told hosts on the event's pre-show pink carpet.
"It's very funny, she was practicing her walk last night. But she told me I wasn't allowed to look because it'd embarrass her, so I was very supportive," Sprouse, 33, told host Zanna Roberts Rassi. "I told her she looked great. And it was awesome, and she looked natural."
Sprouse went on to reveal that Palvin, now a VS veteran, would be walking on a broken foot.
Sending good luck into the camera, Sprouse said: "I love you, baby. Break a leg tonight." He then added, "She actually did break her foot four weeks ago, so she will be walking on a half-healed foot tonight. So, I wish you luck. I love you. I know you are going to kill it."
Palvin, who sat down with USA TODAY before the show, said she still gets nervous before every runway walk. To calm the anxiety, she leans on breathing techniques, she said, and hugs her arms tightly around her body. On the runway, the Hungarian-born model sported a glitzy silver dress, with the brand's signature angel wings attached to the front, rather than the back, perhaps to shift the weight from her broken foot.
Sprouse also paid close attention to his wardrobe, adorning his suit with a small yellow ribbon to support endometriosis awareness. Palvin was diagnosed with the condition – which involved tissue growing on the outside of the uterus, sometimes causing painful periods and infertility – earlier this year.
Revealing she had undergone surgery in August, Palvin wrote in a post to Instagram at the time: "I'm grateful I did it. Early diagnosis and treatment are very important to prevent long-term complications, and now I'm more mindful about my body to act fast if needed. I'm excited about this new chapter of my life and now ready to get back to work."
And, back to work she certainly went – joining the likes of Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima and Angel Reese on a closely watched catwalk. Asked how she would celebrate post-show, Palvin told USA TODAY she was mostly looking forward to a dinner with her husband and family.
