In a decision that reflects the Assam Government’s commitment to ensure justice for Zubeen Garg without delay, the state Cabinet today announced its decision to set up a fasttrack court so that there is no delay of any kind in delivering justice to the departed singer.

Addressing the media after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that he will approach the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court and request him to set up a fasttrack court. This would allow daily hearings of the case which would assist in accelerating the justice delivery process.
