A woman was ripped out of her SUV during a carjacking in Wethersfield late Wednesday, police said.
The incident was reported in the parking lot of Stop & Shop at 1380 Berlin Turnpike where officers responded shortly after 10 p.m., according to the Wethersfield Police Department .
Police said a preliminary investigation found that a male “forcibly removed” the woman out of the driver seat of her gray Buick Lacrosse and was last seen heading east on Jordan Lane and then north towards Maple Avenue in Hartford. No weapons were shown or implied during the robbery, according to police.
The woman did not suffer any visible injuries but was evaluated by medics at the scene, police said.
