(NewsNation) — Discount supermarket chain Aldi is once again offering a Thanksgiving meal deal designed to buck inflation: $40 for a traditional spread that feeds 10 people.
First, the fine print: Aldi is not selling an all-in-one Thanksgiving meal package. The supermarket chain is instead highlighting “21 total products and ingredients” that can be purchased at Aldi for $40 (based on current price estimates) and prepared at home. The $40 price tag for all items, including a 14-pound turkey, potatoes and rolls, also represents a $7 drop from last year’s total tab on a similar Turkey Day deal, Aldi says.
