Betting firm Paddy Power is set to be close 57 shops across the UK and Ireland in a move which will put almost 250 jobs at risk.
It confirmed said 247 workers, including 128 in the UK, will be at risk of redundancy following the changes.
A total of 29 shops in the UK are expected to close during the move, with 28 stores also shutting their doors in Ireland.
Parent firm Flutter, which also owns Betfair and Sky Bet, blamed the closures on "increasing cost pressures and challenging market conditions".
