Oft the subject of legal action and acrimony between the owner and the town, the matter pertaining to the proprietary rights to the "foot" of Washington Street and the associated access to the edge of the Warren River have apparently been resolved.
At the October 14 meeting of the council, the body accepted the recommendation of solicitor Anthony DeSisto enter into an agreement ceding any claims to the property located at 61 Washington Street and 325 Water Street to John "Jack" Quattrocchi III while gaining official public access to the shoreline.
As per the pact, DeSisto explained, the town waives all of its "right, title and interest" to the specific portion of what was called the "foot" Washington Street to Quattrocchi, and in exchange he would grant the town a walking e
