An application for a Minor Land Development and Adaptive Re-Use, preliminary phase, was approved for John J. Marshall to convert two historic manufacturing buildings at 18 Burnside Street and 1 Resolute Lane, into seven residential dwelling units. A variance was required for residential density in the Manufacturing Zone which has an underlying residential density of 0. The matter had been continued from September as some parking issues needed to be resolved. The approval is conditional on finalized and signed agreements with the Herreshoff Marine Museum.
The review of Master Plan phase for Major Land Development of the 80-room Comfort Inn and Suites was continued to the November 13 meeting at the applicant’s request.
