WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) - Waterloo Police identified the man who died in a shooting this week.

Police say around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a home at 3137 Hammond Avenue and found a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency crews took both to area hospitals.

Police say 39 year old Montana Gunhus died at the hospital. They say a 28 year old woman is still in critical condition after the shooting.

The department has not said what led up to the shooting nor any other details in the case.

Police ask if anyone has information to call them or the Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers.
