CBI Officially Announces Arrest of DIG Harcharan Bhullar in ₹8 Lakh Bribery Case; Huge Cash and Firearms Seized

A contradiction has emerged in the CBI version, which states "Subsequently, the CBI team apprehended the public servant from his office and arrested both accused in Chandigarh.” whereas the DIG’s official office is located in Mohali, not in Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, October 16, 2025:

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) this evening officially announced the arrest of DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar ( Without disclosing his name ) , a 2009-batch IPS officer currently posted as DIG, Ropar Range, Punjab , in a bribery case involving ₹8 lakh. A private individual has also been arrested in connection with the case.
