VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A boat builder in Florida was arrested a second time after deputies said he schemed five customers out of more than $200,000.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said an investigation revealed that each customer hired Jeffrey Love of Deltona to build them a custom airboat.
The customers paid him thousands but "got nothing in return but excuses and stall tactics," the sheriff's office said.
Volusia deputies said Love was already on felony probation from a previous arrest for a nearly identical scheme.
Love was charged with grand theft and an organized scheme to defraud. He was also charged with violation of probation and driving with a suspended license.
He was taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bond.
