The city of Apache Junction has been awarded the certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2024.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award once again,” Director of Finance Angelie Hawley said in a release. “This recognition reflects our team’s commitment to transparency and our efforts to provide a well-organized and comprehensive annual financial report.”

The certificate of achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, the release states.
