LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio. (WSAZ) - A second person has died after a vehicle crash that started a fire at a residential home on September 23 in Union Township.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a man in the home at the time fire died as a result of their injuries.
According to a September press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a pickup truck driving westbound on state Route 243 lost control and went off the left side of the road, over an embankment, hitting a propane tank, and then coming to a stop inside of a home.
The release says an explosion occurred, spreading flames over the truck and home, with Penny White, inside.
White, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene, investigators said.
The crash is still under investigation, and the driver responsible is still in the hospital,
