CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Mounted Patrol arrested a woman earlier this week on multiple drug charges after encountering her in the downtown market area.

Heather Dawn Domi, 48, is charged with trafficking heroin and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, police say. Jail records state a judge set bond at $17,250 on the charges.

Police say someone flagged down three officers who were patrolling the area on horseback on Monday. The witness reported a woman who appeared to be showing signs of being under the influence of drugs, police said.

When officers made contact with the woman, whom they identified as Domi, they say they recovered brown powder and multiple prescription pills.
