The Brown County Sheriff's Office has released new information on the Oct. 3 incident involving an ATV that killed a 3-year-old girl in Glenmore.
The sheriff's office responded to an ATV crash on private property at 10:40 a.m. Oct. 3. A 68-year-old man was driving the ATV when he struck a steel feeder trough on the property, the sheriff's office said.
The child, who was the man's 3-year-old granddaughter, was riding in the front of him on the ATV and sustained injuries from the crash, the sheriff's office said. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet during the incident, according to the sheriff's office.
County Rescue transported the girl to HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, where she was later pronounced dead. The sheriff's office ruled out impairment, speed and reckless driving
