It’s been eight days since Cody Bellinger struck out swinging to end the Yankees’ season in Game 4 of the ALDS against the Blue Jays, and there’s been relative silence from the organization in the days since, aside from some coaching changes. That silence ended on Thursday, as manager Aaron Boone and general manager Brian Cashman met with the media at Yankee Stadium to close up shop on the 2025 season.

First, a bevy of injury updates.

There was a huge sigh of relief to start, as the Yankees’ captain, Aaron Judge, will not require surgery on his elbow injury that hampered him down the stretch. The hopeful MVP suffered a right flexor strain in late July and was able to return to the field by early September. He played every inning in right field during the postseason with no complications.
