CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- An inmate in the Acadia Parish jail has continued to break the law, even behind bars, authorities said.
Steven Cormier, 44, of Rayne is charged with 65 counts of violation of a protective order. The charge stems from Cormier using the inmate paid phone system to make contact with the victim, officials said.
Jail administrators said Cormier made contact via the inmate jail phone system on 65 different occasions.
Cormier was originally booked into the jail on Aug. 26. His original charges were not released.
Phone accessibility to Cormier has been restricted, authorities said.
