Edmonton police announced Bryan Farrell, 38, was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree murder

Police have located the remains of the 14-year-old boy whose disappearance gripped the city and charged a man with his murder.

Edmonton police announced Bryan Farrell, 38, was arrested Wednesday and charged with the second-degree murder of Samuel Bird. Bird’s body was located in a rural area outside Edmonton Thursday.

Farrell is also charged with interfering with a body as well as aggravated assault, arson to property, unauthorized firearms possession, assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, uttering threats and fraud. He faces a total of 15 charges.
