ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — An Elmira woman was arrested on Thursday as a fugitive from justice after deputies claimed she had violated her parole.

Sarah L. Culbreth, 38, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 16, as a fugitive of justice out of Tioga County, PA, on two separate counts of violation of parole.

The parole violations relate to two offenses, one lead offense being criminal attempt - theft by unlawful taking of movable property. The second offense being fleeing or attempting to elude an officer (guilty plea).

On Thursday, deputies received the warrant from Tioga County requesting that Culbreth be held on both warrants. Culbreth is currently an inmate in the Chemung County Jail and was arrested and processed as a fugitive from justice.
