PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Nearly 700 residents have signed an online petition expressing opposition to plans for a new professional soccer stadium in Port St. Lucie, raising concerns about traffic and the city's $27 million investment in the project.
The 6,000-seat stadium is planned as part of the 46-acre Walton & One project, which aims to transform eastern Port St. Lucie into a walkable, mixed-use destination.
