The Absolutely Fabulous star has lent her voice to a new audiobook version of a top-selling children's book, which has already shot to the top of Amazon's bestseller lists

Comedy icon Jennifer Saunders has lent her voice to a newly released audiobook, aimed at encouraging children to cut down on plastic consumption. During a recent episode of her 'Titting About' podcast alongside Dawn French , the Ab-Fab legend revealed her New Year's resolution was to do more for the planet. ‌

When debut author Bertie Stephens caught wind of this, he penned a letter to Saunders proposing she voice the audiobook adaptation of his novel Ellie Ment and the Material Matter, which has been captivating young audiences on both sides of the pond since its release in June. ‌
