Last Tuesday, the Coronado Islanders girls’ volleyball program played host to Western League rival, the Academy of Our Lady of Peace.
It was the second meeting between the two programs in the last two weeks. Back on September 24, OLP had gotten the better of the Islanders. At the time, handing Coronado just their third loss of the season.
However, in their second meeting of the year, the Islanders would get some payback as Coronado rallied from a 2-0 set deficit to secure a 3-2 victory in sets: 24-26, 22-25, 25-17, 25-19, 15-13.
