PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police say they’ve captured the suspect wanted for a deadly stabbing that happened in a desert lot on the far north end of town in 2017.

Authorities said 34-year-old Michael Anthony Arredondo was brought back to Phoenix on Wednesday in connection with the murder of 25-year-old Evin Paulos, who was found dead on June 3, 2017, near Pinnacle Peak and Cave Creek roads.

In a news release, police said Arredondo was arrested on Sept. 25 by Mexican authorities and was then extradited back into the U.S. under U.S. Marshals Service custody. The next day, detectives traveled to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office to interview Arredondo.
