ROBINSON, Texas — The Robinson Volunteer Fire Department and City of Hewitt Fire Department worked together to battle two blazes along I-35 on Thursday, Oct. 16.

Robinson VFD said firefighters were called to a report of a truck on fire on northbound I-35 around 4 p.m. While en route, a grass fire was also reported on the southbound side of the interstate, according to the department.

The Hewitt Fire Department was requested to extinguish the grass fire as Robinson VFD tackled the truck fire, the department said.

Ultimately, both fires were extinguished with no injuries, according to Robinson VFD.
