CRANSTON – The goal is obvious. With performances like Wednesday’s, it’s also well within reach.
Now it’s just up to the Cranston field hockey team to make sure it can finish the job.
After how last season ended, there wasn’t much the Thunderbirds had to talk about when it came to team goals this season. Cranston is chasing a title and, with the playoffs two weeks away, haven’t done much to make anyone think it can’t. Wednesday the Thunderbirds welcomed second-place Toll Gate to Cranston Stadium, popped two goals in the first half, dominated the midfield and Savanna Theroux and made sure the number on the scoreboard didn’t change in the 2-0 win over the Titans.
