ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - A special moment happened during a West Central Fire District board meeting on Thursday.
Two recent cardiac arrest patients who experienced ‘positive neurological outcomes’ were reunited with the fire and EMS crews who provided immediate, life-saving care to them.
According to the district, cardiac arrests that happen outside of medical facilities have notoriously low survival rates.
The district says the two patients’ survival and recovery serve as a testament to the effectiveness of community training, rapid 9-1-1 response, and advanced life support measures.
