NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police are investigating what they say is the attempted abduction of a 16-year-old girl from Old Ocean View Road and Bancker Road early Wednesday morning.

Special Crimes detectives are investigating the incident, which police said took place around 6:30 a.m. after they got a report of a 16-year-old girl who had been approached by a man driving a black truck with a cabin on the back.

The man is described as 5-foot-9 with brown hair, and at the time of the incident, police aid he was wearing a dirty neon construction-style shirt, brown pants and black shoes.

Police said no one was injured in the incident.
