Woman mourns murder of younger brother
As previously reported by the Daily Record, Colton Porter, 21, was allegedly murdered right outside his family's Roswell home by Marcos Prieto, 40, of Grants, NM. Prieto reportedly gave Porter's girlfriend a ride from Albuquerque to Roswell. During the ride Prieto, according to court documents, touched her leg but she rejected his advances. Prieto wanted Porter to sell fentanyl for him and the pair exchanged text messages, but Porter refused. On the morning of September 4, Prieto reportedly showed up at the home, broke a window and demanded he come outside. When Porter came out with holding a kitchen knife, that's when he was shot in the throat and died shortly thereafter.
