Mr. Bea can find $100 million to expand his empire, but can’t find the integrity to settle a fair contract with the UAW healthcare workers at Mercy Clinic East in Janesville, Wisconsin, who have been on strike since July 2.
These are the same workers who carried Mercy through the pandemic — who cared for patients when leadership hid. Bea shut down hospitals that served vulnerable families on the west side of Rockford, then boasted about buying into new markets. That’s not mercy, that’s greed.
