PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is fighting for his life after being shot seven times in North Philadelphia after a dispute over noise.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Friday on the 2200 block of North Broad Street.

Police say the 19-year-old victim pistol-whipped a 21-year-old man because he was angry over a loud argument near his apartment.

A third person involved in the original dispute, a 36-year-old man, then grabbed his own gun and shot the 19-year-old.

He was rushed to Temple Hospital and placed in police custody.
