Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin said in an interview published on Friday that he believes most Virginians have accepted the apology from the party’s state attorney general nominee Jay Jones for recently unearthed violent text messages.

In an interview with Politico, Martin called Jones’ text messages sent in 2022 about shooting former Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert (R ) “reckless and unacceptable” and that Jones would agree with that characterization.
