WASHINGTON — Bank of America was sued Wednesday over its alleged financials ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The class action lawsuit was filed in federal court on behalf of a Jane Doe and other Epstein victims. The Jane Doe plaintiff says she was abused by Epstein over an eight year period.
Epstein killed himself in jail as he awaited trial in 2019 on sex trafficking charges and was accused of sexually abusing dozens of teenage girls.
The lawsuit alleges the Jane Doe was instructed to open an account at the bank and Epstein and his accountant would transfer money into the account.
The lawsuit also alleges the transactions should've been flagged as being suspicious, which banks are required to monitor and report. But the lawsuit says the bank didn't report the suspicio
