Diwali weekend is here, and Delhi-NCR is facing severe traffic congestion on major routes. As of Friday evening, key areas including Sikandra Road, Bhikaji Cama Place, Moolchand Flyover, ITO, Moti Bagh, and the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway were clogged, with vehicles moving at a snail’s pace.
The festive rush, combined with shoppers flocking to key markets like Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, and Lajpat Nagar, has led to overcrowded streets and traffic snarls. Commuters reported long delays as traffic built up in multiple directions.
Visuals from the scene showed long queues of vehicles on both sides of the road at Moolchand Flyover, ITO, and other key junctions, highlighting the scale of the gridlock.
