According to Huron County OPP, the collision took place on collision on Bluewater Highway, north of Airport Road, in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh around 8 p.m. on Oct. 15. Article content

Following the collision, which knocked a passenger mirror off the side of the vehicle, the driver sped off northbound, an OPP news release said.

The teen was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The passenger mirror police found at the scene is described as dark grey in colour and is believed to be from a 2011 or 2012 model year automobile, the release said.
