Dog contest set for Saturday

STEUBENVILLE — The David M. Lucas Dog Park will host its first Canine Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the dog park, located behind the health department on state Route 331 off of Exit 213 on I-70. The festival is for the entire family and will feature food trucks and a wide selection of vendors selling items and inflatable play stations for children.

At 2 p.m. the dog costume contest will commence, with judging done by D.K. Wright and Francesca Carinci, who will select winners in the following categories: Most original, funniest, scariest and best owner/dog costume combination. Attendees can vote for the overall best winner. Ribbons will be awarded. A fetch 50/50 drawing will take place. Guests will pay for numbered tennis balls and a dog wil
